1 to 5 June 2026 in Bucharest
This course, covering interpretation of experimental data of the organic solid state, is meant for PhD students, post-doctoral students, and other young researchers interested in deepening their insight in experimental analysis. Any young researcher is welcome to participate to improve their understanding of the challenges in the field.
If accepted in the school, reimbursement of travel and lodging will be provided upon request by the COST Action BEST-CSP: up to €400 for travel and €154 per day for daily expenses.
Selection to participate in the school will be based on participation in the Action BEST-CSP, age, and country up to a maximum of 30 participants.
Subjects:
- Polymorphism
- Racemic systems
- Co-crystals
- Hydrates
- Phase diagrams
- Thermodynamics and calorimetry
- Crystallography and diffraction
- Solubility
- Other methods relevant to understand characteristics and properties of the organic solid state
This school will be hands-on and will provide practical cases to be solved by the students with short introductory classes to explain possible approaches to analyse organic solid state samples.
The school is hosted by Victor Fruth-Oprisan of the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Romanian Academy and Mihaela Pop of TeraCrystal
Registration is open and will close on 15 March 2026
